LAMINAR FLOW INTERCOOLERS The patented design can best be described as an almost infinite number of interconnected laminar flow cooling fins. Laminova heat exchangers are compact, easy to install and more efficient than conventional coolers. With a Laminova heat exchanger, you get maximum heat transfer with low pressure drop, something not available until now. This efficiency is achieved by continuously restarting the flow passage after an optimal flow length. INTERCOOLER integration Best results are achieved when the heat exchanger is installedin the inlet manifold. This improves response compared to traditional air-to-air intercooler installations due to sshorter flow length. In most instances a package of 2 - 4 cores is needed to meet specifications. Seperate cooling circuit The air-to-liquid intercooler system needs a seperate cooling circuit with a circulation pump and seperate radiator. The Laminova intercooler can be combined with air conditioning system for even better efficiency. |

Pulsations The laminova core has a high resistance to air pulsation fatigue due to circular design and the elimination of soldered and welded joints. Assembled using flexible O-ring joint design. 2. Noise The laminova tight finned core surface area cancels the transmission of noise waves. Rules of thumb Intake air temp. reduction of .5°C (6°F) increases air density by 1% Every 4°C (20°F) reduction in intake air temp. allows .5 psi additional boost with the same octane fuel. |
